City's location, hospitality sector, restaurants, entertainment industry, cultural assets, businesses and community amenities create opportunities for the City to participate to benefit from upcoming 2028 Olympics. However, certain activations and programming to attract visitors may require substantial financial and operational resources related to public safety, transportation, sanitation, public works, parking, staffing, marketing, insurance and temporary or permanent infrastructure. The purpose of this engagement is to provide the City with a strategic and financially informed framework for determining the appropriate level of City investment, maximizing benefits to Culver City businesses and residents, leveraging outside resources, and identifying investments capable of creating a lasting community and economic legacy beyond 2028.
