Public hearings were held regarding the tentative budget and millage rate for the 2026-27 fiscal year, both of which were adopted. The board voted individually on numerous municipal service benefit unit (MSBU) assessments, including street lighting, drainage, recreation, and utility districts. Finally, the board addressed a zoning application petition involving a Bert Harris claim, with legal counsel providing an overview of the ongoing litigation and proposed settlement.
The Board discussed and acted upon several items, including the rejection and re-advertisement of bids for the Ridgeline Cemetery Irrigation Well and the acceptance of ranking for the Montura Volunteer Fire Station design and permitting services. An employee was recognized for five years of service. First readings were conducted for land development code amendments concerning building permit expiration and exemptions, as well as code changes to allow mobile homes in all residential zoning districts.
