Township of Bonfield Economic Development Strategy 2026-2031
This Economic Development Strategy for the Township of Bonfield outlines a roadmap for managing and shaping the community's recent growth. The plan is built upon five pillars: establishing foundational conditions, supporting existing businesses, restoring essential daily amenities, diversifying housing, and investing in specific economic sectors like agri-food, value-added wood, and visitor economy, all underpinned by a foundation of governing for trust. The strategy aims to transform Bonfield into a growing, welcoming rural township by 2031, where businesses are supported, residents have access to local services, and natural resources are protected, fostering a unique economy on its own terms.
