Town Of Davie Second Budget Hearing
The town council held the second budget hearing to deliberate on the operating millage rate and the fiscal year 2027 budget. Key discussions focused on establishing the millage rate and adopting the annual budget, with staff confirming that the millage rate for fiscal year 2027 remains consistent with the rollback rate and does not constitute a tax increase under state requirements. The council reviewed how the generated revenues will fund operating costs, community safety, infrastructure maintenance, capital improvement projects, and debt service. Both the millage rate ordinance and the budget ordinance were successfully moved and adopted.
